Anyway, from the Summit Station we opted to try the Ocean Express Summit Train going back to the Waterfront Station. It was so crowded! Isa pa, bastos talaga ang mga intsik haha, talang singit galore! It took us around 30 minutes before we were able to board the train and ride back to Waterfront Station. In the train, there was a show in the ceiling featuring different fishes, etc. I think their goal was to make you feel like you’re passing through the ocean, but I was just irritated at that time due to the crowd lol.
Just like the Summit Station, the Waterfront Station has different areas as well:
AMAZING ASIAN ANIMALS:
The following attractions seen here are HK Jockey Club Sichuan Treasures, Giant Panda Adventure, Gator Marsh, Panda Village, Goldfish Treasures, Emperors of the Sky, and Emerald Trail.
We went inside the Amazing Asian Animals where the Red Pandas are but unfortunately, we were not able to see them, I guess they were hiding. We did get to see a panda but it was just lying there motionless and sleeping. Nonetheless, it was still very cute and fluffy! Connecting to the Panda Village is the Goldfish Treasures featuring different varieties of goldfish which was really pretty.
WHISKERS HARBOUR:
We were not able to go here anymore because there wasn’t enough time and our feet were screaming at us already. But according to the website, the following are seen here: Whiskers Theatre, Merry-Go-Round, Clown A Round, Balloons Up-Up-And-Away, Frog Hopper, Bouncer House, Whiskers Harbour Playground, Interactive Shadow Play, Animal Story Corner, and Toto The Loco. Judging from the website, I’m guessing this is the area where the “kids” rides are. Too bad we were not able to go here anymore since these are the rides we are comfortable to go to haha.
AQUA CITY:
This is the area of Ocean Park that you would get to see right after you went in since it is just after the entrance. It features the Old Hong Kong, Waterfront Plaza, The Aqua City Lagoon, Sea Life Carousel, and the famous Grand Aquarium.
The Grand Aquarium is huge and houses a lot of sea creatures, from fishes, to sharks, to starfishes, jellyfish, and those really weird freaky sea creatures only found deep in the abyss of the ocean. I would have enjoyed it immensely if it wasn’t so crowded! I actually liked the Manila Ocean Park better because of this. I don’t know, or maybe because we were both irritated at that time due to the crowd that’s why we took limited pictures and just went through the aquarium fast. Too bad, too sad.
After that, we bought our traditional souvenirs and then settled in a spot to wait for the Symbio show. This is one of our most awaited attractions in Ocean Park.
Symbio is the world’s first 360degree water screen. The show features 2 fiery dragons clashing. It features light show, fire shows, and sound effects. It was pretty amazing and it is definitely worth it to stay and wait for it. A bit of a warning, if you’re located near the fountain, you would definitely feel the heat of the fire in your face. It was exciting though a tad scary at that time.
The show ended at around 8:30 pm and we decided to go on and go to the Peak. So up next, our tiring adventure at the Peak!
