Hong Kong-Macau Adventure: Fantasyland in HK Disneyland

This is the fourteenth part of our 4-days-3-nights Hong Kong-Macau Adventure.

Fantasyland is at the heart of the Disneyland park. From the park entrance, just go straight through the Castle to get there. Another way to get here is to take the Hong Kong Disneyland Railroad from the entrance which circles the entire park. One of the two railroad stations is found here.

Fantasyland at Night

Fantasyland also features one of the most popular, prominent Disney trademark which is the Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. It also features other old Disney characters such as Cinderella, Dumbo, etc. This is also where the Fantasy Garden is located where you get to meet and greet and take your pictures with Disney characters.

IT’S A SMALL WORLD
This attraction is a Disney classic where in you ride a small car and go around the area with the background song of It’s A Small World playing over and over. As you go around, you would see different characters from different world and the song plays according to the language of that place, such as Chinese, Tagalog, Korean, etc. Another special feature is the introduction of different Disney characters into the attraction. This is the only ride we were able to try in Fantasyland.

SLEEPING BEAUTY CASTLE
Sleeping Beauty Castle is in the center of the park. It is a replica of the original Disneyland Anaheim’s own castle. The castle is more of an attraction and it also serves as a backdrop for the Disney in the Stars Firework. Wait for it at night to see the wonderful lights.

CINDERELLA’S CAROUSEL
It’s near the castle and it is your regular merry-go-round ride. It is more beautiful at night with all the lights adorning it.

DUMBO THE FLYING ELEPHANT
As the name of the ride implies, you get to ride Dumbo in an up-and-down motion.

MAD HATTER TEA CUPS
Simple way to describe this ride is it’s a spinning tea cup. Period.

MICKEY’S PHILHARMAGIC
This was also one of the rides I really wanted to go to but time restriction prevented us to. This is a 4D movie animation.

FANTASY GARDENS
It features different gazebos where you could see your favorite Disney characters and have your picture taken with them. Unfortunately, it also features long lines and long waiting time. There are attendants in the gazebos which could take your pictures.
