From the lush green prehistory dinosaur era of the Lost World, we found ourselves being transported back to the 1930s Golden Age of Egypt. From the entrance showing huge Egyptian statues down to the little details in the area, there's a whole lot of picture taking opportunities there. It's really like you were transported to ancient Egypt! Just look at the pictures below, this was probably the place where I took the most pictures haha.
Anyway, we didn't ride there immediately, we opted to explore forwards first but then we returned to try out the different rides in the area.
Revenge of the Mummy
As I've mentioned previously, I hate heights and roller coaster. But for some unknown reason, we found ourselves falling in line in this ride. But again, first off, leave all your valuables and bags on the rented lockers near the entrance. Do not bring anything! It will get lost or damaged, I promise you. Anyway, as the sign in the entrance says, it's a high speed roller coaster but with a twist. It is an indoor roller coaster so it's plunged in darkness, but with a bit of a lights and sound effects wherein you would come face to face with warrior mummies, scarab beetles, and even, literally, burning fire. It is not for the faint of heart! We were glad we were able to try it and scratch if off our list, but we would not be doing it again. It's actually quite a painful ride because your arms and legs would bump against the coaster. Suffice it to say, it's probably worth it to try just once and then never again hahaha!
Treasure Hunters
Now this was a very boring ride, but perfect after riding Revenge of the Mummy haha. You ride a desert jeep going around an abandoned Egyptian excavation site. Very slow and very relaxing. Perfect for kids.
Oasis Spice Cafe
It's the Egyptian-Themed restaurant in the area serving up Middle Eastern Specialties. There were a lot of people during our time and we didn't like Mid eastern food so we opted not to go inside.
Carter's Curiosities
The souvenir store of Ancient Egypt.
Don't forget to meet and greet the Egyptian Royalty. They put out a show every now and then. Anyway, after the action-packed Ancient Egypt, we ventured on the another action packed area, Sci-Fi City!
